Proclamation on Emergency Medical Services Week
May 19th through the 25th
Reflecting on the last year that seemed wrought with natural disasters and brutal violence, President Trump has chosen to dedicate a week to those who serve in Emergency Medical Services (EMS). A significant number of those who assist in these challenging teams are unpaid volunteers.
In a statement issued by the White House, President Donald Trump said:
“In every circumstance, and in crises where every second counts, EMS providers demonstrate courage and devotion to saving lives. They protect the health and safety of others with unmatched skill and extraordinary resolve. This month, and always, we express our endless gratitude and respect to the fine men and women of our country’s EMS agencies for their continued commitment to excellence in emergency care.”
- For the many thousands of employees and volunteers across our country who put themselves in danger’s immediate vicinity to care for those in need. May God bless them, keep them, and care for them.
- For President Trump as he, in his own way, responds to many of the same major emergencies we see EMS’.
