Interior Department Appoints Chief of Staff
Todd Willens appointed to Interior Department
The Department of the Interior announced on Friday, May 17 that Todd Willens had been appointed to be the Chief of Staff of Secretary Bernhardt. Willens will oversee the Secretary’s office, as well as advise on policy. Secretary Bernhardt celebrated the addition to his office saying, “I am appreciative to have Todd Willens as my permanent Chief of Staff. His leadership in the front office will be a true asset in achieving the President’s priorities for the Department.”
Mr. Willens previously served as the Associate Deputy Secretary of the department and has been serving as the Acting Chief of Staff since January of this year. Prior to his role in the Interior Department, he worked as Chief of Staff to Congressman Steve Pearce of New Mexico for six years. He also worked as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Fish, Wildlife, and Parks at the Interior Department.
