Republican party unified regarding immigration issues
On Tuesday, President Donald Trump hosted a lunch at the U.S. Capitol for the Senate Republican party. The main area of concern was regarding the current disagreement in Congress over the wall for the U.S. southern border. The President addressed several questions regarding the security of the U.S. border and future plans regarding the wall.
President Trump also made a special point to assure those in attendance that the Republican party is "very, very unified." Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell confirmed this statement, saying, "we're all behind the president. We think this border security issue is extremely important for the country."
