Donald Trump Jr. sent out a tweet after his wife was hospitalized; she had opened a letter that contained a suspicious white powder, and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
His tweet reads: “Thankful that Vanessa & my children are safe and unharmed after the incredibly scary situation that occurred this morning. Truly disgusting that certain individuals choose to express their opposing view with such disturbing behavior.”
Ivanka Trump, also sent out a tweet: “Thinking of Mrs. Vanessa Trump & wishing I was by her side today. No one deserves to be frightened this way. There is no excuse.”
Police told The Associated Press Vanessa said she was coughing and felt nauseous. There is no indication anyone was injured or the substance was a hazardous or biological agent, officials said.

A letter containing an unidentified substance addressed to Donald Trump Jr. was sent to a Manhattan apartment that belongs to his wife, Vanessa, the president’s daughter-in-law, according to a senior New York law enforcement official.
A preliminary investigation suggests the letter was mailed locally.
There is no indication the material is hazardous, but investigators are conducting a thorough probe out of an abundance of caution.
Three people were taken to the hospital as a precaution for observation after the letter was opened. There is no indication they suffered any injuries and their identities were not immediately released. Another report says Vanessa Trump was among those hospitalized.
