On February 8, 2018, President Trump announced intentions to fill several openings in the presidential administration. The president will nominate:
- Brent K. Park (TN) to Deputy Administrator for Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation, Department of Energy. Dr. Parks previously served as the Laboratory Director at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) leading several programs for the Department of Energy (DOE) and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA)
- Emory A. Rounds III (ME) to Director of the Office of Government Ethics for a five-year term. Mr. Rounds began serving in the office in 2009 and has acted as director and head of the Internal Operations Division.
- Christopher Krebs (VA) to Under Secretary for National Protection and Programs of the Department of Homeland Security. Presently he serves as the Assistant Secretary for the Office of Infrastructure Protection while fulfilling the role of the Under Secretary.
- Jonathan R. Cohen (CA) to Deputy Representative of the United States of America to the United Nations and Deputy Representative of the United States of America in the Security Council of the United Nations, with the Rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Representative of the United States of America to the Sessions of the General Assembly of the United Nations, during his service as Deputy Representative of the United States of America to the United Nations. Presently Mr. Cohen serves on the Senior Foreign Service and as an American diplomat as well as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs.
