Praise GOD, my son Jonny is home from Afghanistan. He was an Army medic with 26 Troops that served in a small outpost in brutally rugged mountains in the heart of Taliban country. Prayer works. In the year he was there not one of his Troops was injured by artillery – a specific prayer. He will exit the Army in August. He came home strong emotionally and at peace. Please pray that God leads him as he considers a nursing career. Thank you for your prayers.
Matthew is doing well and is looking forward to coming home in about three months. Please pray for his transition as he comes home. I would especially pray that he would be a Godly husband and father as he comes home to his family. I pray God would use these last days of his deployment to grow ever closer the Jesus. Thank you for your prayers.
Josh has been deployed for about a month and a half. He will be overseas for six months. We miss him and are praying for him. I hope that you will, too. He’s had some very close calls, close enough to go home to Jesus. I hope and pray that he will come home safely and I thank you for praying for him.
David is scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan around the first week of August. He is apprehensive about whatever situation he will be going into, and needs peace that only comes from the Lord. I pray for David to have an unquenchable hunger for God and His Word. David spends hours reading each week. I pray that David will desire God’s Word above any other book. I pray that the Lord will surround David with Christian soldiers who will help draw him to total awareness of Christ.
Chris is now in a combat zone. Please pray for adequate rest, for the Lord to protect Chris’ mind, and for him to acclimate quickly. Also pray that he will be a witness to those around him of the power of God to help him to be at peace wherever he is and whatever he is doing. Thank you for praying.
I want to thank those of you who are praying for Bryan. He was able to come home from Iraq for two weeks in May to celebrate in a wedding reception that he and Meghan were not able to have prior to his first deployment. Bryan is back in Iraq and although our Troops were scheduled to leave, there is so much unrest it has made it very difficult. As he's spoken to his wife and parents they have shared with me the fear and much needed rest in their son’s voice. Please continue to pray for Bryan, all our Troops and their families.
Return to the update.
